The Texas Concealed Handgun Association Board of Directors is proud to announce plans for the 14th annual conference, March 5 and 6, 2011 at the YO Ranch Resort.

We have a use of force clinic from our own instructors, Dean, Larry, Erwin, Gail, Judd, Bill, Kathy, and whoever else I can get to add their input.

The Saturday evening banquet will feature a 100th Birthday Celebration for the Colt Government Model 1911. MAJ Richard Koone will remind us of the venerable history of the Colt 1911, assisted by a pistol carried in the Korean Police Action, and passed down for his own Field Artillery service.

The Association's Regular Annual Meeting and Board of Directors Elections will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 beginning at 9:00 AM at the YO Ranch Resort,

We will be raffling off the Taurus Judges at this meeting.
Once again we are planning a Fun Shoot at the Hill Country Shooting Sports Center. Bring your favorite sidearm and plenty of ammo. Be prepared for lots of target and action shooting at this Olympic facility. A holster will be handy, but is not required.
This time the Fun Shoot will feature two demonstrations by Dean McCormick, a Bullet Effectiveness Demonstration and a Tueller Drill. While all CHLs will benefit, instructors should be particularly interested in seeing techniques they can use in their own classes.
We are planning another gun raffle featuring the Springfield XD .40cal. We will sell chances for this excellent concealed carry pistol in the Concealed Handgun newsletter (Turns out the USPO doesn't like this.), or you can download tickets.
We will also raffle off several handguns at the conference and member's meeting, including two Taurus Judges.
The CHL Protection Plan will be hosting a hospitality/welcome gathering before the banquet on Saturday, March 6, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. You can also gather at Rick's hotel room starting about 5:00 PM Friday, March 5. CHLPP will provide adult beverages and cigars. They look forward to seeing you there.
